In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Exceptional service and staff — Guests consistently highlight the friendly, professional, and helpful staff, from reception to housekeeping. The service rating of 9.5 and staff rating of 9.4 reflect this.
  • Prime central location — Located on Karlsplatz, the hotel is within walking distance of the old town, shops, restaurants, and the main railway station. Many guests mention easy access to public transport and the airport train.
  • High-quality dining — The on-site restaurant earns praise, with one guest describing it as Michelin-starred. The breakfast buffet is repeatedly noted as excellent with good variety.
–

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Price for the class — Some guests feel the hotel is overpriced compared to its actual standard, and one compared the experience unfavorably to a Ritz Carlton. The value rating of 9.3 is high, but expectations may be higher given the price.
  • Busy and noisy surroundings — The central location adjacent to the main station means the area can be very busy, and one guest noted this could affect quietness. Comfort rating is 7.9, the lowest category.
  • Occasional housekeeping lapses — One guest reported a housekeeper entering the room without knocking, an isolated but serious privacy issue. The Facilities rating is high at 9.4, but this review stands out.
